Actually, I still have to attend their orientation to know the details. But in the email they sent me, it is mentioned that after they send the TOR to an accredited credential evaluation agency, their US office will assist the nurse on the filing of credential evaluation report and State Board certification later on.
This can all be done by yourself with a lot of saving and even if you go through the process what visa are they going to be applying for. Agencies have no control over visas being issued and unless you have experience you may find it tough.

    Hi everyone,

I'm just new here in allnurses.com.

Any update regarding hiring of filipino nurses in texas? My cousin who is living in Texas informed me that there is a hospital who hire nurses but we are not that sure if they really petition nurses from the Philippines. I do have a tourist visa and I just want to ask you guys any feedback regarding hiring of nurses in Texas? If ever I got hired and I'll come to Texas do you think I will be given a working visa? btw, I paased the NCLEX-RN exam for CALI.

Hoping for any reply. Thank you!

You need to contact the hospital yourself,as them if they will petition you, go home do all the steps to become a tx nurse and file with us immigration and wait 6 yeArs for your petition to become current.

I think the best thing that you can do is if you can get a job that is not actually nursing. My aunt came here as a tourist and she was hired as a different job for her to stay and work here. The lawyer told her about the freezing of nurse applicants. My aunt talked to one of her friends and got an office job in a Home Health agency which in turn petitioned her as she was staying here for vacation.

    Hope this helps.
