Hello everyone. I would like to ask if you know any hospitals in metro manila accepting nurse trainees this august 2013? I graduated last april 2012..I completed my bls acls (AHA), IVT trainings first and now I plan to apply to hospitals..my work experience is limited (2 mos staff nurse trainee in a dermatology clinic). Help pls. Thank you!

Hi. Can i ask how you applied online? i went to the TMC website but cant seem to find where i can apply though. and the email address that was provided to you @c_gine will also be of help to us. thanks! I went to TMC latter part of July i think, and by that time they just asked me to write in a logbook, i was at around number 20. up until now havent received any feedback from them.

UPDATE ON HOSPITALS FROM THE SOUTH

University of Perpetual Help Medical Center

-I was told by the HR that the screening for their training program which is similar to St. Luke's PGNT will start on OCTOBER. So all aspiring applicants can still submit their resume at the HR, Lower Basement of UPHMC

Alabang Medical Center

-Accepts volunteer nurses only

-Last time I went there, I learned that they have no HR (Yet to be verified?) so I was instrucrted to proceed to the Pharmacy and look for Ms ****. She initially asked me whether I have applied to other hospitals.

-Not sure if there is an allowance.

-Requirements include:

*Resume

*Photocopy of TOR

*Photocopy of Board Rating

*Photocopy of IVT, BLS and other trainings

I can't remember the other requirements she asked for so bring all the things you deem important to applying.

-MAKE SURE TO GO THERE IN THE MORNING because I went there in the afternoon and she told me it was best if I went there in the morning (For the interview I guess?)

Las Pinas Doctror's Hospital

-I was told by the lady at the information counter that they only process applications with referrals from the owners/stock holders

Medical Center Muntinlupa

-I heard they're hiring trainees again. But this is only second hand information. It's best if you find out yourself :)

Asian Hospital

-A friend told me that they are hiring but if you ask the HR, they will tell you otherwise. It's best if you send them an email and attach the following credentials:

*Resume

*Scanned BLS, IVT, PNA, PRC Licenses and Certificates

*Board Certificate

*Transcript of Records

*Diploma

*Board Rating/Passing (Not sure about this last one though)

Please PM me for the email of Asian

Hi guys :) just want to share, I had applied in Alabang Medical Center, the director had told me to start my volunteer training last April but I didn't attend. lol They look for >80 board rating and you should perfect the exam or at least have only one mistake.

As for Asian hospital I went there several times and the HR told us that it would be online application and they're preparing for JCI so they must need nurses for the accreditation. Not sure about the email though. I didn't receive any confirmation from them after I sent my resume, I might as well try sending again.

I also applied at Medical City,Manila Doctors, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, Makati Med, and SLMC-GC.

Does anybody have an update for training at UST hospital? I'm still waiting for their call.

Are there more hospitals that have nursing trainings?

For omgellieoh, kindly pm me the email for Asian hospital, just for counterchecking, my friend had given me the email but since I didn't receive a confirmation I might send my cv again. I can't send you a message for some unknown reason. Thanks in advance! and are you from somewhere near Cavite? because most of the hospitals you have applied at are same as mine :))

Hi Omgellieoh! Can you also pm me the email ad of Asian hospital? I can't seem to send a PM to you. Thanks.:angrybird5:

No but I have a friend in Cavite and I went "hospital hopping" with her. I'm from the south though. PM Sent :D

Yes, I agree with the board rating thing in Alabang Med. The lady who I talked to also asked what school I was from.

Re MMC, I heard that they're processing applications from 2012 (Second hand info only) I suggest you visit the MMC thread here in all nurses. I think its always updated

Re SLMC-GC AFAIK the PGNT Batch 9 is set to commence on the 1st of October. It was initially set to September but was delayed. I think it was to give way to batch 8 who just had their phase 2 graduation :)

Thanks for the info :) though I already finished my COPN training at MMC, they told me to wait for their call and I don't want to hold on to that haha we still need to make our move at the other hospitals and not just rely on possible employment that they say >

Why didn't you continue at SLMC GC? Can you share your side of the story?

I'm sure you could make it at MMC! :) Just keep on believing and praying. MMC is MMC. Don't

lose hope. I would love to work there. But I heard they are only processing 2012. I just passed last June so, I'm not getting my hopes up.

ADDITIONAL HOSPITALS:

GENERAL TRIAS MEDICAL CENTER

-I called this morning and the lady from the HR said that THEY HIRE NURSES with 2 years experience. They accept NURSE VOLUNTEERS for those no EXPERIENCE. 5 months will be the maximum volunteer period and absorption will depend on your performance. Forgot to ask the requirements though.

OUR LADY OF PILLAR HOSPITAL (IMUS)

As posted in JOBOPENINGS.PH

Job Opening for Staff Nurses by OUR LADY OF THE PILLAR MEDICAL CENTER

*Pre-employment training* They are strict about COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS. Except for the HEMODIALYSIS TRAINING (not sure). I went there last July and the HR gave me a slip of paper for the set of requirements. The hemodialysis training is not listed there that I assumed it is not that necessary. The requirements they ask are too much. They are just a 100-bed hospital (compared to MMC/SLMC) that requires HEMODIALYSIS and ACLS training. :))

REQUIREMENTS:

  • UPDATED RESUME
  • DIPLOMA
  • TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS
  • RELATED LEARNING EXPERIENCE (RLE)
  • SCHOOL RANKING
  • BOARD RATING AND CERTIFICATE
  • B.L.S. (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT) and A.C.L.S.(ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT) - valid for at least 1 year
  • IVT LICENSE
  • PRC LICENSE
  • STRICTLY REQUIRED: *WITH HEMO-DIALYSIS TRAINING*

I heard PGNT in QC is more intense than GC. Not sure though. Just overheard from other applicants when I applied there.
