Nclex Poll For Filipino Takers/passers

  1. 0
there are some questions here that i hope "filipinos" who already took it or those who are preparing for it would share an answer...im going to take it in manila the 2nd try, i'l share my 1st time experience for now and il soon post the result of my 2nd attempt and i pray hard that by god's grce il pass it this time:hatparty:

how many questions you had on your exam?
    i had 169

what did you use as a review material?
before i used ati - evoke review materials, answered saunders q&a cd, answered few from kaplan question trainer and failed my 1st nclex attempt. now, im doing home study, practice questions from saunders 3e compre and kaplan question trainer only! i scan my nursing books whenever theres a topic im not familiar with or feel like i need to study.

enrolled in a review center or home study?
i enrolled at ati - evoke before i took my 1st nclex exam (i would not advice that review center to my friends), im doing self review for my 2nd attempt which is more helpful to me.

percentage of topics youre very familiar with on the actual nclex questions?
100% except for pharmacolgy(aarrgghh) il rate my familiarity with pharm questions only for 20% when i took my 1st nclex

what did you feel after you finish your exam?
when it turned blue i didnt say a thing,i was in an undefined state of mind when i finished it. i cried and got so scared til i received the mail

Thread moved to the International Forum since it is specific to the NCLEX exam, and not to working in the the Philippines.

actually ATI is an international review course for nclex, its like kaplan's counterpart here in PI i guess. it can be reached thru their website..i forgot the exact website but if youre interested you can just google it. what i won't ever advice is the review center that used ATI..the name of that review center is evoke learning center located in espana, near ust. yes, ATI review course is good but the review center evoke who handles it here in the PI isn't.maybe the ATI in the states is way better. alot of times questions asked to the lecturers aren't answered, they just tell us that they'll research on that and will get back on it soon..but never did it happen that they cleared a question asked to them. i learned to self study because of their attitudes though..

any pinoys who can share their nclex experience is a great help for all of us who'll take it. better answer the poll questions.. thanks!

wow..seems like things are really tough in terms of reviewing for the nclex for us foreign students eh? Saunders is on top of the list for the most used review material for filipinos preparing for the nclex though..kaplan is second i think..lets see on further posts if saunders really takes the lead..
