My experience in Capitol Medical Center

Hi colleagues! i just want to share my experienced on the training program offered by Capitol Medical Center. So i passed my application there last Oct.2013 and they called me for the entrance exam (nursing and psychological exam) The nursing exam part was more on like board exam type questions with matching type and problem solving part. after a week they called me again for the personal interview conducted by the Vice president of the Hospital. then the training program started Dec. and ended last Jan2014. it was a nice experience for me because we were able to rotate at the Emergency department of CMC and in the ICU floor and med-surgical wards of the hospital. the training cost 3000pesos and employment rate depends on your performance. Requirements are posted at the HR department of the Hospital. I cant post the number of the hospital here for personal reason and i do suggest to all of you to go there directly and inquire. next training program will be held on April and July/August. with regards to the GWA of your board exam, 78% is the minimum GWA requirement for the application. but 80% above GWA is better and have a higher chances to be called. Good luck RNs and God bless! :)

@Kebslcn if there's an exam during the skills training, how is it and what's the scope?

CMCC graduates can apply if 78% above, while other schools must be 80% above. CMC only hires from specific schools (Trinity, UST, CEU, UERM, FEU, PLM). There is no backer system. Pay is pretty good but has gotten smaller, and a minimum 3 months waiting time after the skills training for one month, to be hired as probee, then eventually a staff nurse.

So if im not on the list of the said school most probably they are not going to accept my application? Im actually near at Capitol thats why Im interested to work there. Hope for reply! :)

Hi, woah I've graduated from one of the mentioned schools. :D but I would like to ask regarding the requirements what if my bls training license have expired and I'm not yet undergoing bls for renewal? Can I submit requirements without bls?

They require that you have all the requirements needed otherwise they won't accept it anyway.

i did not graduate from any of the above mentioned schools but i have 80% average, 18 mos hospital experience (volunteer), 6mos of which is in the critical care, I'm ACLS certified. I applied last month and they have not texted me yet :banghead: im losing hope!

Hi. I passed my requirements last September 1 and I just received a text message from CMC yesterday. I will be having my initial interview tomorrow Oct 1. I am really nervous. Has anyone here undergone the interview before? Was it hard? Thanks! :)

I had an inteview there last Oct 2. I just received a text from the hr today and I'm schedule for exam this Dec 22. Have you gotten their text?

If your board rating is below 78% but you have had a hospital experience, would they consider the applicant?
