My experience in Capitol Medical Center

Hi colleagues! i just want to share my experienced on the training program offered by Capitol Medical Center. So i passed my application there last Oct.2013 and they called me for the entrance exam (nursing and psychological exam) The nursing exam part was more on like board exam type questions with matching type and problem solving part. after a week they called me again for the personal interview conducted by the Vice president of the Hospital. then the training program started Dec. and ended last Jan2014. it was a nice experience for me because we were able to rotate at the Emergency department of CMC and in the ICU floor and med-surgical wards of the hospital. the training cost 3000pesos and employment rate depends on your performance. Requirements are posted at the HR department of the Hospital. I cant post the number of the hospital here for personal reason and i do suggest to all of you to go there directly and inquire. next training program will be held on April and July/August. with regards to the GWA of your board exam, 78% is the minimum GWA requirement for the application. but 80% above GWA is better and have a higher chances to be called. Good luck RNs and God bless! :)

Hi nurses! Any news from CMC this month?

Hi nurses! Any news from CMC this month?

They're currently interviewing applicants for the 45th skills training.

have you been contacted by the hr dept?

There's no schedule yet for the next BST because it's already ongoing.. Mr. Pang told me to just pass my requirements at the HR. The HR personnel, told me that they'll just call me about my application, she was very nice and asked me my height, my weight and have written my board rating in pencil at the top part of my resume including my school. :) For those who haven't applied yet, here are the requirements:

We're you called for interview already? When did you submit your requirements? :)

I belong to the 44th skills. I passed mine If I remember around early February and I received a text 2 weeks after for the IQ and nursing exam then another week for initial interview with the hospital director ( He's a surgeon and all he asks are questions regarding medical surgical nursing).

Kebslcn, what month did you have your training? Are you hired already? And, if you happen to know, when will be the 45th skills training? Thanks for the response.

How long after the 44th skills training were you called for casual status? I read in other threads that they will place you on casual status for 3 months, then probationary for another 3 months and become a regular employee thereafter. Is there a possibility that you'll be placed in a special area like ICU?

We have been called in for the final interview (3rd interview for us) but we haven't been called in for the medical, which is around 3 and a half months after the skills training. The order they call in trainees for the medical is based on the batch ranking. What's good is I believe they hire everyone who underwent the skills, not unless you really screwed up, which is rare, but what differs is the waiting time.

After passing the medical you will undergo a 10 days no pay status, then afterwards you will become casual and probee, with pay, for 6 months. All probees are placed in the medical wards, only after 6 months will they place you in specialty areas, and I believe they don't have sick/vacation leaves until 6 months. These were all told by me by a staff nurse when we had our training, so I'm not sure if policies have changed.

They also recently changed their policies to "no work, no pay", meaning you don't get payed on your off days, basically a lower salary per month.

They're already done with the initial interview for the 45th skills, and they're starting on the 21st.
