Hi! For those interested, just this morning I heard from a newly hired staff nurse in Metropolitan Medical Center that the hospital is currently hiring staff nurses. Sadly, I can't apply there for personal reasons.

Do any of you know other hospitals there in Manila or QC that are also currently hiring staff nurses without undergoing months of volunteer training prior to employment? Kindly inform me please. :nurse:

By the way, my informant said the give preference to chinese applicants.

they started their new sets of orientees just this tuesday.. some of the orientees are july2011 passers.. And to think license of july2011 wasnt completely released.. Thats the power of BACKER SYSTEM.. :)

so disappointing. uggh. how can we practice our profession when lots of hospitals need a backer. i wish i could be a son of an influential people. madface:

regnurse 101: question: after giving the resume to them, will they immediately offer you to have an exam? who has the authority to assess? the one in the reception area (receptionist)?

is there a chance that they will give you a call?

tia :D

I went to MMC last Tuesday, as I approached the lady in HR department about the requirements for application in staff nurse, she instructed me to go at Marine services department instead. Resume, TOR and Board rating was given and told me that they will just call me when there is an opening.

anyone here had experienced what I did?,,, Thanks! =)

@Im_an_RN

You'll submit your resume at the marine office.. Then theyll tell you that theyll call you when they will have an openning..

I think they only have an interview then a one week lecture with exams i think, then 3 weeks of exposure... then after that they will evaluate, then if you passed youll then be probi for 6 months..

@SimplyJane

I had that experience.. then i was called for interview.. during the interview.. the very first question they ask me is that who referred me to that hospital.. then i told them that i was just a walked in applicant.. thats also the question they first raised to other interviewee.

simplyjane: that was also they told me. they will just give me a call.

regnurse: thanks for the info's.

how about those who had their on the spot exams. was it because their pretty or something? and those who are not they'd tell you that they will just going to give you a call. :sniff::sniff:

thank you :)

@was it because they were pretty or something?

@ reg nurse - how many weeks/months when you got an interview with them? are you currently working here? thanks! =)

@ Im an RN - as what reg nurse said," You'll submit your resume at the marine office.. Then theyll tell you that theyll call you when they will have an opening ".. Those who had on the spot exams, I think they are in need that time.. Think positive! =)

Nope im not working at MMC.. i have several friends working there.. Only had the interview for a couple of minutes since i dont have a backer..:)

lets just think positive.. :) maybe mmc is not our call.. :)

looks beyond anything? for sure, :yeah:

I had a similar experience in Metropolitan medical center.. I don't know if it's because I am a male applicant and they favored females.. I went there to pass my resume then the receptionists took a look at my documents then asked me to wait in the waiting area.. After thirty minutes, they called my name and told me that they will just contact me.. I wonder what's on their minds..

maybe they have just evaluated or something. me when i went there i asked the lady in the reception that i will pass my resume after telling the requirements she left the front desk then she came back after few minutes afterwards, she gets my requirements then she told me that they will just gonna give me a call. then i have this intuition that she was looking at me while walking away then i suddenly think maybe she will throw my resume because i don't look good in their eyes. :rotfl:

right now, life goes on. i don't need to waste my time waiting for them to call me. ;)
