hello!

Can anyone tell me how long does it take to process an application in Makati Medical Center? Because Im planning to submit my resume this month of november...

And are there any special requirements that i need to have before applying?

I need some infos...:typing

Thanks!

I'm an applicant like most people here but I happen to have a relative working there so I get additional info :) From what I know, there are still applicants undergoing physical exam. After everyone has been done with that, that's when they will start the panel interview. I, myself, am not done with my PE due to some super minor health issues. As far as I know, we won't be staff nurses immediately. There will be 1-2 months training (CETN) so probably, as what someone has commented in the latter thread, January-February might be the start of our job as real staff nurses :) Hmm, HOPEFULLY training would start late October or November. I will post it here once I get an inside scoop hahahaha. God bless! :D

From what I know, your CETN training will be part of your probee period already so I think Jan will be the time of the panel interview.

What's probee period? Yup I think after the final panel interview comes the direct hiring.

If they exceeded their 2 weeks timeline as they've said, you can call the HR to ask for an update about your application. I know some people who do that and the HR will tell you about your status. They really won't mind if you ask, just shows you really want the job :) And after all, I think they're very busy now with so many aspiring applicants, so it's better to call them yourself. Hope this helps! :)

I would be repeating this the last time. These are all just my speculations. the upcoming batch (through HR and not Nursing Service Dept) will be a DIRECT HIRE and during their probationary period, the training will already be included in that span. I dont know about the CETN. Since MMC dont hire during Nov and Dec plus the fact that there are still CETNs this year that are not hired and a batch just finishing theirs this October, interview MAY happen within the year but the start of the batch's (those interviewed by HR) experience in MMC MAY be in Jan or Feb.

Oh I see because I asked someone at the HR and she said that we still need to undergo CETN and we just need to wait for our batch to finish PE so we can be scheduled for the Panel interview.

Maybe the CETN is incorporated or something but I'm not sure since this would be a first. Lets just wait and see. Whats important is that we will not be anymore included in the number of unemployed and underemployed nurses

reshin, I think Rinkishikika is right. All applicants will still undergo CETN, it's just that it's not the usual CETN that lasts for 6 months. It's only for 1-2 months. The one who interviewed me told me that after my interview. It is also written in our physical exam forms that our PE is for pre-employment purposes (CETN). I don't know what the "probationary period" you're talking about. Maybe that's what's causing confusion with what you are saying :)

CETN means you are a trainee for 1-2 months. After completing CETN you will be considered as PROBATIONARY NURSE for 6 months, probationary nurse does not guarantee you to become a staff nurse. After your 6 months as probationary nurse you will be evaluated based on your performance, if you performed well then thats the ONLY time you get HIRED as STAFF NURSE.

Yah, I know but we'll just wait and see. btw, the CETN really only lasts about 1 - 2 months since the start of the year. Maybe it was 2011 when it was 6 months but Im not sure because the 6 months that I only know of is their probationary period which lasts about that long.
