    As far as I can remember, they did explain in our lecture the nursing process. Only your friend can explain why she cannot explain the nursing process.

    Oh well, good luck to your nclex-pn.

    I have been doing some research about the whole process of getting certified as an LPN here in the state where I live. I also got interested in Kennedy Global School because of the convenience of the distance learning program and the very cheap tuition fee.
    However, in order to work here as an LPN, one has to pass the NCLEX-PN and the local board exam in the Philippines. We all know that Philippines has no local board exam for the practical nursing program. I was told that I can take the California board exam and apply for reciprocity. I went to check California's Vocational Nursing Board website and found out some information that would disqulaify me to take the NCLEX-PN if I will go for the distance learning in Kennedy Global School. The website warns to be cautious in enrolling in unaccredited nursing program.

    That website states "The Board has not approved any distance learning programs. Even if a nursing school is appropriately accredited by its own state or country, completion of a distance learning program and/or blended instruction will not qualify an applicant to sit for the NCLEX."

    Visit their website if you want to know more about their regulations.

    I haven't visited this site for a while, It's nice to read comments from you guys. I'm in my 3rd quarter and looking forward to do clinicals on Oct-Dec. scary but exciting! And yes, It's really hard and what makes me really nervous is the NCLEX-PN. Good luck to all of us and it would be really nice if we all have our clinicals at the same time
    Hi there. I too am a student at KGB and I'm also going to the PI in October! I asked around if there was anyone around my age, but I think I am the youngest so far hah. I came across KGB while I was in Texas and happened to meet the president of KGB with my mother. The school seems legit and is accredited by TESDA, so I gave it a try!

    The only thing I'm worried about is well, how we're going to retain ALL this book work with no clinical guidance. I'm a hands on type of learner. Also I know very little Visaya & can only understand tagalog, but not speak it :[.

    Anywho, besides all that I am pretty excited for the October trip. See you guys there! :}

    My clinical experience was fun.. I loved it... I got to meet new friends from different states.. I'm still preparing for my nclex, all my friends that have already passed said it was a hard exam... I actually went to pi to study the whole program, I didn't wanna do SAP coz I learn better with interaction... It's hard to be a SAP because when you get to the actual setting you will have a hard time, especially when you do the hands on.. It's different from reading than to do it on actual.. I used to be a SAP but i decided to just do it in the PI, and it turned out good. good luck with you..
    Did you pass the NCLEX-PN?

    Just got back from PI after 2 months and few days of clinical exposure and nclex review. They just started this nclex review class at night after the clinicals. Kinda exhausting doing the nclex review after the clinicals, considering how hot and humid it is in that country. A lot of hands on but because I am a SAP student, it is very hard. You really need to catch up on the practical side. I'll say some of my classmates got into this culture shock thing during our clinicals, some expectations are not met, but overall I am glad I did!
    I'm glad i did too Did you pass the NCLEX-PN?

    Wow! Congratulations ... I had to be honest, It's scary to think of it and the waiting part is driving me crazy...I'm trying to review but i get lost most of the time and I just don't know where to start. To hear someone like you passed the NCLEX-PN gives me more hope, I personally don't know anyone from the same school that actually passed. Thanks for the reply.
