Hi everyone! I am trying to set an appointment to take my NCLEX RN sometime in October.I'm just so frustrated because I can't click on the "set appointment " button because it kept telling me to contact the pearson vue center.I tried to call the listed number of the testing center in Trident Tower in Makati but I can't connect.

Is there anyone here who had the same experience and can help me?

I would really appreciate it. Thanks

april67, you really can't set an appointment here in the Philippines thru PV website. You need to call the international hotline/numbers stated in the paper (it's in the website, or in the ATT if I'm not mistaken). There are a lot of numbers to choose from (USA, Asia Pacific Region, United Kingdom, etc). You can buy a budget card for your landline or I suggest, use a magic jack and call the US number (US Central Time). If you're in the Philippines, that's the only way to set an exam schedule. The relevance of the NCLEX testing center in Manila is worth discussing now that the need for importing PH RNs to the US has dropped to near zero.

how much did you pay pearson vue to take the NCLEX exam in manila? isnt there an international testing fee?

Fees should be on their website but usually $150 plus $200 if outside the US

The relevance of the NCLEX testing center in Manila is worth discussing now that the need for importing PH RNs to the US has dropped to near zero.

I don't think so greenjungle. The need didn't really decrease, it's just that the whole process takes a lot of time for a Filipino Nurse to qualify and work as a nurse in the US because of the tedious licensure and immigration requirements and the EB3 Visa retrogression. I am very optimistic though that in a couple of years, the EB3 Visa Bulletin for the Philippines would be current again and more and more Filipino Nurses would be able to live and work in the US again.
