-------

there are evaluation agencies like WES (world education services) that evaluate your transcript and translate your grades to the us standard. you pay a certain fee then arrange for your transcripts to be sent to them (directly from your school in rp). in turn, wes will draw up your grade and educational attainment us equivalent...accredited, etc... check out their website. http://www.wes.org or something.

aren't most of our colleges/unis have a GPA on the TOR cause mine does.

something looks screwy on that...

An average score of 100% is scored as 4.0 at the College I graduated from in the USA.

Like this:

Percentage US Grade Equivalent GPA (approximate) 60-100 A 4.00 55-59 B+ 3.33 50-54 B 3.00 43-49 C+ 2.33 35-42 C 2.00 0-34 F 0.00

Ah, here's a more detailed chart I found.. Again, this is USA GPA system:

Hushdawg, the grading system in the Philippines is the opposite of that. For instance, a grade of 1.0 is 96-100% or excellent as Henry Santillan posted. The grades drop in decrements of 0.25 (I.e., 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and so on). I know in US educational institutions 4.0 is the highest grade one could get and it drops by 0.1. You are indeed correct but the poster Henry Santillan is also correct as he is describing the Philippine university grading system.

Ah, I think I misunderstood the question then. Or rather I assumed that the application was for a job in the USA.

My mistake then.

I graduated from Nepal with percentage 70 in aggregate that means my GPA score will be only 1.5, that's not fair.It is very difficult to get that score and the highest score in my college is only 74%

@Abja please be guided here Academic grading in Nepal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, and here WES Grade Conversion Guide first before this one:

I think your grade is somewhat bet. Div. I Distinct. and Div. II Merit. Great job! n_n

NOTE: Disregard the percentage since the passing grade in Nepal is 32%

Hello

Do I have to add all my grades then divide by the total number of subjects to get the GPA?

Anyone can please help me how to compute my GPA :(

Thanks a lot.

No, multiply each grade on the subject's units. Then, you must have a sum of the products. After that, divide it to the total credit units of all the subjects you've taken. That's all
