8-12 hours, 150-200 questions

use kaplan test taking strategy, abc?, assessment or implementation?

take one, stopped at 75 questions, less than 40 minutes (the exam proctor was suprised!)

i noticed that most who got only 75 questions passed... wish i'l be as excellent as all of you when i take my exam... i'l consider all your responses here.. thank you kababayans...

1. What are the materials that you used?
I used Mosby's and Saunder's comprehensive Review
2. How many hours per day did you study? how many questions did u answer per day?
1-2 hours per day/ atleast 75 questions because I was working full time 5 days a week plus taking care of my family
3. How many days or months in total you studied before taking the exam?
To be honest with you, i reviewed for 9 months
4.)What are the specific strategies that you used or the the test taking skills you applied during the exam?
Eliminate the wrong answers, Read the questions carefully,assessment,and ofcourse PRAYERS!
5. Take one or take two?

I'm not planning to take the exam immediately. I'm not the kind of person who rush things when it comes to this matter. I'm planning to take it after a year. Study while working. And Suzanne, thank you for answering our questions... I really had no idea about PN, agencies, etc etc... until I read the information you gave! It's really not that easy!

Lippincott Made Incredibly Easy for my comprehensive Review. Saunders is also highly recommendable. For the Q&A part, I used Lippincott Q&A made incredibly easy, Saunders' Q&A, Kaplan, NCSBN, and a lot of NCLEX Cd Reviewers.

Me and my friend usually start studying at 9pm until 5am. We do it in a coffee shop or just along baywalk. If you are a sleepy person, then this study habit/ studying outside your home might be useful for you.

a couple and a half months
4. What are the specific strategies that you used or the the test taking skills you applied during the exam?
a. ABC
b. maslow
c. nursing process
d. prioritization
be keen in eyeing key words int he questions.

Try to have a quite environment when you study and don't think too much about what will be the outcome of your exam.Always pray to God for guidance. Think that your exam is for your loved ones
