omg i just totall read this! such a big help. im exactly in the same situation. im a filipino graduate but im in canada instead of the us. im going to ask some questions and if i can do what you guys did. anyways the crnbc here told me that i have to take the board exam in the philppines but then i read this and im totaly going to try. thanks so much for posting it. if u have any advice please do say something. it would be so appreciated!! thx!!
I would suggest you check with the college that what you are planning on doing is acceptable. I feel as if you plan on doing NCLEX instead of NLE to meet the college requirements and you may find that is not acceptable. If you are looking at working in the US to qualify for the NAFTA (TN) you need to be a Canadian citizen

Well, if they've applied to CRNBC, they want to work in BC. So they have to comply with CRNBC's standards.

Taking a degree in a foreign country and then expecting your homeland to accept it without questions is extremely naive.

its not a foreign country. im a naturalized canadian citizen and just went there for my college cuz we were intending to live there. im exactly int the same situation as that fil-girl. why would that be any different. and i am a canadian citizen and i read in their website that they do accept canadian citizens. as for all the requirements BON Ca is needing, i have secured it from my college.

and no i havent applied with crnbc. i just inquired and they will only consider foreighn registered/ licensence nurses to take their exam. i was inteding to go back in december for my board then i read the process that the fil-canadian girl and the person from texas to take their exams in california.

do u think this would still be difficult for me? thanks for the reply guys, i appreciate it .=)

If you put things in clearly in your first post you will get more appropriate answers.

If a Canadian citizen then you can use the TN as long as you meet requirements I would however suggest you recheck CA as you now need a SSN for CA to process your application and that you will not get until in the US and working. Regardless on what state you apply to you will have to meet their requirements for International trained

I suggest you look at another state for registration. You can not get a US SSN until in the US with a valid work or immigrant visa

Dude a SSN means Social Security Number it's American.

    Canadians have SINs---Social Insurance Number.

You should know the difference if you really are Canadian.
