After I passed the licensure exame last June, I only went to seminars and recently finished my IV training course though I never really got to practice here.. taking care of some family business, guiding some students thru their respective theses and reading once in a while to prepare for the NCLEX.

I really hope my papers will be done sooner so can finally lay my hands on the profession.

btw, just like u, nursing is my second course. i got my bachelors degree in Biology prior to that. :nurse:

and yeah... congratulations for passing he RN!:balloons:

Hello,!!!:wink2: I just graduated this Oct.'05 and passed the local board exam dec.'05! I'm 34 y/o married with 2 kids....Imagine the need for me to make it as an RN before I'm 40. I do agree with you about our countrys need of teachers/educators. I also plan on pursuing a career as a clinical instructor here in the philippines someday.... after i have accomplished all my goals...like own a house, car, properties here....not just for me but, for my kids also. Anyways, I plan to take the IELTS... ASAP and then prepare for NCLEX. I really need good advice regarding where to take the NCLEX and how to go about the application and requirements. Most of my family/relatives are in California so, i hope to be registered there. Where should I take the NCLEX in CA. or in Hong Kong? any suggestions regarding how to migrate to California I would need also... Thank you!

GOD bless!

What now Philippines ... all (a great majority) our student nurses are aspiring to work abroad ... what would our country be left with?

hello all. im a filipino nurse also. just graduated this year. my 2nd course. my first course was from up diliman. (anyone here from diliman?) i wanted to take nursing in UP manila but they refused me, saying they will not accept 2nd coursers. i found that unfair. anyway, i graduated march , took the boards in june and opted to finish all the necessary exams before the year ends. im done with my ielts, cgfns and nclex. will be starting work in a local hospital. no pay for 3 months. is it like that everywhere? over staffed, they say. oh well.

hi! i finished BS Biology, UP Baguio. what was ur first course? UP Manila people told me they don't allow second courses even if ur a UP graduate.. NUrsing in UPM is reserved for fresh high school grads, maybe coz of limited facilities.. i also tried UST, SLU and other universities, they just dont accept 2nd coursers so i had to go to median universities and its not so bad after all.. it's the degree u want and we'll be working in the US (where there's no discrimination with schools)

i passed the local board last june and think i have to start preparing for the nclex. having second thoughts where to apply though... california or vemont... anyway, good luck!
