i emailed pearson vue and they replied that there is still no date of the opening... i can't wait to have a testing center in manila. is it true that it will be set up in 3 months' time?
No one has ever said anhything about three months time, minimum of six months before it will open, and since Pearson-Vue knew nothing of this, probably even longer. If you already have an ATT in hand, do not plan on taking the exam in Manila. And as you have stated, there is no date yet, so add on more time.

well if this is true I hope no body would manipulate things here..like who would pay to pass or not..I just wish the playing field would be fair for all..

And if anything like that happens, the center will be closed immediately. They are going to be under the microscope at that center.

its really nice to hear that the nclex may be coming to the pi. The shortage and understaffing in the us is really stressful, and the shortage will get worse as more and more baby boomers start to retire. hope to see more pi nurses in the future.
Sorry, but the US is not that short. And even with that exam there, the immigration process will still need to be completed and that will not give any immediate help to where ever you are.

You keep hearing of shortages but it is not all over the US, only in certain areas.

NCLEX here in Manila? definitely good news/idea for all the nurses out here. With the issues we had last year (June '06), i doubt it! It is much better to spend your hard-earned money to take up your NCLEX somewhere than to have it here and to have it retake if the same thing happens once again. That is too much to handle not just by the nurses but most of all their parents. The review centers who were involved are still holding review classes and they became more popular than ever. OMG! i don't know what's goin on! Really! when money talks, people listen.

i heard a while ago at the latest news in tv patrol - that cgfns will be pushed thru. now the main issue here is that, the us will not release cgfns screening visa for those who nurses who are included in the june 2006 board exam. it has been truly said by the cgfns that no retake , no visa. well, that's the biggest issue. a good:angel2: news for the new graduates and a bad news for the june 2006 boards examiners.

My sentiments exactly. Sorry to say, I hope that the exam does not get held there, especially after those review centers are still operating. Wonder what will happen then?

The government there has not done one thing to make any changes. All players involved are still playing.

I agree. Further info regarding the non-issuance of visa screen for June 2006 passers is posted on cgfns web. Try this http://www.cgfns.org/sections/about/...lippines.shtml

Take a look at the Pearson-Vue website, that is where it will first be posted and there is no mention of a center opening there yet. The information will always be there first.

Per their website, they have no word has to when the center will open or even where it will be located.
