Wow very encouraging sir...hehehe hmmm I wasn't very optimistic when I started writing down my name on the master list for the qualifying exam because I am not related to anyone working at V. Luna nor to anyone who's actively working for the army but God's hands are working. A week after that I met someone who offered assistance...besides I'm quite confident that my 84.80 rating in the board exam, my strong scholastic achievement (being recognized as batch cum laude), hard work and perseverance will prove it's worth once I've started.

There is SOME truth to the statement given by joshypototoy. Harsh reality, but then, I'm hoping all goes well for everybody. God bless.

I hope so dodoy. I realized these "harsh realities" when I started submitting my requirements (my first time since the NLE) last January. I was both frustrated and desperate at that time but when I came to think of how much I worked hard for and wanted it, I told my self I won't stop trying until I finally get there...the hardest thing to combat with is hopelessness. It takes away your dreams, strength, courage & motivation . I'm trying to hold on to every bit of hope that is remaining from whatever source I can get it from. The current situation may be bleak for us newly registered nurses but as the old Latin saying goes, "Dum Spiro, Spero" meaning while I breathe, I hope; tomorrow is another day to live for so we should always look forward to better days to come. :D

Really? they are giving out COE as staff nurses? That's cool!

i think COE as Nurse Resident ( they cal it OJT) not as staff nurse.. because it has a big difference between the two..

hi guys! i took the exam, MAY 23. And luckily the exam is not that hard.. (whew.. hope i can make it)also the proctor is not that strict.. he is really willing to help (he'll give you answers)

expect SATA question i think 5-6 questions (ex. the situation is cord compression, select all the nursing intervention that apply.., then computations (purely basic).. for the ms (signs and symptoms of diff. dis.) funda (purely basic (that basic will make your mind really wobble) :D and others.. the result will be posted on JULY 14!!

well anywei guys goodluck hope we will see each other on august:D

---I'm anxious about the result & I envy you because you didn't have much difficulty in the exam lol. Hmmm I remember one item in the exam about a patient who has a newly created stoma & has hyponatremia based on the lab result. One of the options for the best irrigation fluid to use is NaCl which I didn't choose off course because it's plainly salt...then the proctor came, looked at my answer sheet and chose that option for that item . After that I politely took my pen off his hand and pretended to be really focusing on the test & left me. :D I didn't change his answer though out of courtesy & who knows the answer key their using really shows NaCl as the answer. :smokin:

Is RN residency same as being staff nurse? I wonder... If we're accepted, will we train for months (with or without allowance)? And do they absorb their trainees?

Sorry for the blast of questions...I'll be hospital shopping tomorrow. I'm pretty anxious cause I live too far away from this hospital. So, I'll only be taking a chance on it if there is even a remote chance of being absorbed by the institution. thanks in advance for the replies. :)) God bless
