Transfer courses from Australia tro

  1. Hi everyone,
I'm currently studying diploma in nursing in Australia. I will finish my diploma along with advanced diploma in June 2019. After that, I will get Enroll Nurse (EN) certificate. Within months I will need to apply for two years Bachelor of Nursing in Australia to get Registered Nurse (RN) certificate.
    My question is,

[1] Can I do two years Bachelor of Nursing in Canada by showing that I have done first two years of Nursing studies in Australia? I mean by transferring the credits
    .

[2] Is there is any two years bachelor of nursing in Canada? Or, If there is four year then what suggestion would you guys give me to finish my Bachelor within two years.

[3] I'll like to inquire about some of the cheap nursing schools I can apply to. I'm planning to stay in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

[4]And are Australian diploma degree courses credited, can I transfer courses?

I would like to invite you to give me best possible suggestions.

    With Pre-thanks,
    Swasti

    1. You would have to ask which ever school you apply for about transferring credits.

    2. The only 2 year nursing programs I am aware of are for those with previous degrees. My understanding is that they are pretty competitive to get into. I did an accelerated nursing program which was 3 years. If they allow you to transfer credits, that may cut down the length of the program

    3. As an international student, you would be paying international fees which are significantly more expensive than those of a Canadian student

    4. To transfer your Australian nursing license to Ontario, your best bet is to look at the CNO's requirements to register as a foreign nurse.

We can't really give you any specifics. You will need to do that legwork yourself

my understanding is the the Ontario job market is pretty saturated at the moment, so even graduating as an international student will not guarantee a job. And you would still have to meet the Canadian requirements for working overseas

Lol they are no cheap nursing schools in Ontario. I doubt your diplomas will transfer over because there are not enrolled nurses in Canada. My guess is that you will need to start a 4 year bachelors from the start. So either do that or finish your degree in Australia and then apply to CNO for registration.

Enrolled Nurses are equivalent to LPNs
