Please share with me your experiences during your assessment, and how long did you wait for the result? And what are the actual recomendations after you received your result. Does anyone actually granted a provisional or temporary license after SEC or is everyone who took the assessment have to undergo continuing education or educational upgrading? if so, how many months?

I am scheduled to have an assessment on April and I'm a bit anxious what might be the outcome....I might not afford it if ever they recommend me to take further study for moths or years..

Please enlighten me...is it worth to pursue it?

Hi jearnny and Automatic good luck on your SEC. Please share your experiences and result here when your done. Thanks.

@ nurse gwen: May I know what you did how to get CRNBC to extend your time to complete your SEC?

I answered your PM.

Congrats on your TRV! :yeah: Im planning to apply for a TRV as well. Im just gathering up as much documents I can because Im concerned about having my TRV application being denied. Can you share some info about your application? Were you employed at the time you applied for a TRV? How did you satisfy the embassy that you are coming back to the Phil? Did you have any properties,etc.. At least how much show money do you think I would need? I would very much appreciate your reply. Thanks in advance. :D

hello Raila,

I also did the 5 day sec, but in BC in April 2010. According to your posting you seemed to do very well.

Did you already have your results? I do not have my results yet and a little nerveous since it's been already 6 weeks. If you did get your results, can you please tell how long did it take you and if they requested you to do some supplementary course work. Please also tell where did you get your nursing edu?

Thank you in advance for your information.

Leila

i finished my nursing back home in the phils. well right now i'm studying too, trying to refresh and review things for the assessment. kwantlen university offers books to review for the SEC and can lend them for two weeks so might as well check that. i've reached a friend who also had undergone SEC and is now going to school as advised by the CRNBC and is told to complete the course for a year. i'm willing to take refresher courses too but hey, there is nothing wrong to be prepared for it,ayt?:) keep it up and i wish u the best of luck too lilyv.:))

Hello... I just want to know if your friend is an IEN and under tourist visa? Did your friend work while studying the refresher course for one year? and how much is the tuition fee? After taking the course, is she/he automatically be eligible to write for CRNE? or she needs to retake te SEC?

Thank you.

Depends on visa to whether you can work. If on a student visa then there are restrictions on working. You are supposed to be able to support yourself.

Hi Helpful Nurses,I just want to know if any of you are now in RE-entry Program?thanks!
