Please share with me your experiences during your assessment, and how long did you wait for the result? And what are the actual recomendations after you received your result. Does anyone actually granted a provisional or temporary license after SEC or is everyone who took the assessment have to undergo continuing education or educational upgrading? if so, how many months?

I am scheduled to have an assessment on April and I'm a bit anxious what might be the outcome....I might not afford it if ever they recommend me to take further study for moths or years..

Please enlighten me...is it worth to pursue it?

Hello Ich777,

Can you share with me how was the SEC assessment in BC? I'm also scheduled for next week and it will be great if you give me an idea about it. Did you have the practical part for all areas?

Thank you and good luck with the results!

Hi everyone,

i am new to this forum. I hope to take the SEC assessment in August this year in BC. I have been reading some of the postings & would appreciate as much guidance as possible with the assessment E.g Which books to study from. ? What type of drug calculations do they mean? I went into the University in Surrey BC to ask for advice but they were not very helpful, didn't even suggest a reading list. I will be doing the Medical/Surgical assessment over 2 days.:nurse:

hi there,

I wasn't able to do SEC last April because Canadian Embassy did not grant me a temporary resident visa, despite all the proof that I wll go home after the assessment. To lilyv and lizakurt, are you in TRV or permanent visa?

:)

Anyway, I already applied for immigrant visa and CRNBC were so kind enough to let me extend my processing till next year (they give me 2 years to complete the SEC).

So, are you guys done with your assessment? Can you please share your experiences and the result, were you all required to do upgrading? :)

hI,Hve u got ur result,what r u doing now

i know someone who has the same sched for the SEC as you. I will take mine shortly after. How I wish we can get this over with sooner. Thinking about it makes me anxious. :heartbeat For the recent takers, experiences will be of great help to us. Hope you are willing to share your experiences. :)
