Ontario nurse moved to Montreal

  1. 0
    Hi everyone;

    I have recently moved from Toronto to Montréal and now wondering what to do! LOL Don't laugh at me because I don't really know French and don't know where to work as a nurse. I have started learning it though. Any suggestion where to work as a nurse for an English speaker person? I have experience in ER and CCU.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

    You will have to pass the required French exam no matter where you work in Quebec.I have heard it is quite challenging.

    I work in what is considered an "English" hospital but most of the patients are francophone so you will need to be able to speak some french and understand a whole lot more. If you are not yet employed I think the best use of your time is to get a tutor for the french exam because it is not the easiest exam. Apply to as many "English" hospitals as you can and keep your fingers crossed! good luck to you

    Jewish general hospital. They will take you, especially if you have a lot of Critical care experience. They will even offer you french classes for free. The JGH is probably to most english of the english hospitals

    Per our Terms of Service please post in English only; no text/chat speak.

    07genona, the proper English is "you", not "u".
