Why are you concerned and which province are you in?

Is this for a homework assignment.

If you have been keeping up with events in the media, you will know how wrong your statement is in certain provinces.

HAHA a physician I know told me this.

and I have a family member that used to be a care aide. Told me to get an RN or Psych nurse education instead.

RNS make more but many health authorities are laying off RNS and placing LPNS and aides in those positions. Check out some of the news articles posted in the last five years. There is no nursing shortage.

Is this in BC? show me some articles. Not trying to cause a stir, I know people that have worked in both positions. Took awhile for them to get a job as a LPN in BC , particularly the lower mainland.

There were massive cuts in health care in BC when premier gordon campbell was in charge.

Those seriously affected were care aides and lpn's. I know because I lived through it.

No this isn't just in BC. It's happening across the country. ON and AB I know of for sure because I've lived in both places. All you need to do is a Google search. There are articles discussing this topic all over the internet.

It isn't any different there either. Many nurses I have worked with in AB have moved because they cannot find permanent work as RNS or LPNS. All of the Provinces have been experiencing budget cuts in health care for the last 7 years. BC, AB and ON are particularly bad unless you don't mind working rural.

Well then, that is what I am talking about. I don't know Alberta's situation or Ontario, but I know my family was effected by these cuts , because they were a care aide a job that does not pay very well for the amount of work they do.

and Gordon Campbell played a big role in making it worse.
