by KellyTel Aug 25, '12Any heard of the RN licensure preparation program in Vancouver, Canada? It is a private institution and one gotta pay quite a big sum of money for 8 months classes.
I was introduced to this program. I am quite sceptical though, at the same time, I want to believe this will really help me pass CRNE and get a license in Canada...
Any advice?

- Aug 31, '12 by joanna73None of those programs guarantee a pass, and they all cost a lot of money. Your best bet is to make a schedule week by week of study topics, utilize all the required text resources pertaining to the CRNE, and understand the competencies you will be tested on.Fiona59 and loriangel14 like this.

- Aug 31, '12 by Fiona59I go out to the lower mainland a couple of times a year and have never heard of the place. From the name you listed "Royal Canadian Institute of Technology" it sound like a diploma mill piggybacking on BCIT's reputation.joanna73 and loriangel14 like this.
- Sep 2, '12 by psn619I was told about this by one of the consultancy ..... i was told that the training helps one in successfully passing the CRNE....but i am finding it difficult to find someone who is already taking the program or someone who has completed the program....wanted a proper feedback by someone who has had taken the course!
- Sep 2, '12 by Fiona59Well, I grew up in Vancouver and stil have family out there and nobody has heard of the place.
- Sep 2, '12 by joanna73The thing to remember is this: while some of these courses may be beneficial to some of the candidates writing the CRNE, you still need to put in the work and have the knowledge to pass. Too often, students expect their prep courses to be the miracle cure, and then blame the institution if/when they aren't successful.Fiona59 and loriangel14 like this.
