    Doctors threaten to resign after beds closed due to nursing shortage

    Emergency doctors at Royal Columbian Hospital are threatening to resign after a shortage of nurses this weekend forced them to shut down beds and leave critically ill patients waiting in hallways for hours.

    The only upside of this whole mess is that some of our docs have actually told us how much they appreciate what we do (now that they are suffering from nurses not working themselves to death).
