I Know how you are feeling nervousascanbe. When I was writing the exam I felt fairly okay about it, however after coming home and thinking about and looking up questions I no longer feel confident. I am defiantly rethinking answers and thinking I put the wrong answer. I also keep telling myself I failed to, but at the same time I am just praying that I passed. It is very stressful having to wait for the results.

You will be better off with www.passcrne.ca they offer online. Good Luck

Hey just wondering how is this course? meaning what type of questions do they analyze med-surg or psychosocial? and is the level of difficulty (questions) the same as on the crne. Any feedback would be appreciated thanks...the course is quite expensive though.

This course is very expensive with NO guarantee of anything other than they'll take your money. There's no information on the instruction they provide, there's no information on who the principle players are and there's no information on their success rate. I'd be VERY leery of them. Caveat emptor.

i took the crne last october 5 and it was extremely difficult. i find myself thinking about it every night, i feel so down. after the exam i took the bus going home and these were the examinee discussing their answers. i feel so horrible that time, realizing that i got lots of wrong answers.. oh well, what i did that time is to put on my headset and listen to my ipod.

lets just hope for the best...

Hi, I noticed that the deadline to apply to write the Feb 2012 examination is November 7th. Since I probably still won't have the results of the October exam by this date, I was wondering how I'd apply to write in Feb in case I fail the October examination? Is there an extension to apply for students that fail or would I have to just wait to write it in June? Should I just apply to write it in Feb. anyways and then just cancel my application if I do pass.

Heelppp soo stressed :(

Lilly: I think if you are un-successful...you get an extension I am pretty sure..So don't panic..I think I read on here that they have to give you an opportunity to applied for the next one..I know of 4 individuals you failed it in June and never got the results back until the 2nd week of July and were able to applied for Oct. But we are not going to worry about the re write right?..Hopefully you passed and all your hard work payed off ok? so just hold your head up high...I have been so pre-occupied with regards to this national exam..I did not think it would affect my life so much....anyways it is what it is now..and we can only hope we all pass.....anyways hope my info was helpful.....:)

If it makes you feel any better..I am still having nightmares about the CRNE and its been a week..Seriously!!!!!..I know it sounds crazy but it is true. I am still in shock..because I found it so hard!!!!..But hoping for the best but also mentally prepared for the worst...good luck :)

This question comes up after EVERY exam. If you're not successful you will be given an opportunity to apply for the February exam. The colleges know that not everyone will have their results before the application deadline. Now all of you, go take a walk in the beautiful fall weather and forget about the exam for a day.

I have written for the second time.:uhoh3::crying2:I found this exam harder than the first one.Is there a chance to reduce the passing percentage/marks?:confused::confused::confused:

I found that most of those sitting for October exam are IEN's and my friend who is volunteering in Sunnybrook hospital said she found four crne answers in her hospital posters itself.I think even if we know the competency,it is better to get a clinical experience to pass the exam. This is my personal advice to all IEN's:nurse:

Praying for the best results:redpinkhe

I took crne oct2011 it was really really difficult, I could not complete because of my poor time management. tension getting more and more as the time passes any body can tell when result will reach to an international address. any suggestion when to take next time Jan,Jun or oct or all are same.

The passing mark is set by the CNA based on the relative difficulty of the exam. So if the October exam was indeed more difficult than the June exam, the passing mark will be lower. If you're interested in how the exam is marked, you could read the stickie https://allnurses.com/canadian-nurses/faq-canadian-registered-370227.html where it's all clearly explained.

How long does it normally take a letter mailed from Canada to your country to get there? Add that number of weeks to 6 and you'll have a fair estimate of the number of weeks it will take from the date of the exam until you have your results.

All the exams are roughly the same, although the composition of them changes slightly from sitting to sitting. The best way to decide when you should rewrite (IF you must rewrite) is to think about how long it might take you to study for a new exam and fill in the knowledge gaps you might have.
