What Is Your Most Gross, Yucky, Disgusting Nursing Horror Story? - Page 194
Register Today!- Nov 7, '11 by staceynayI have two gross stories. They aren't as bad as some of the others on here.
1. A co-worker and I was changing a patient in the bed. All was good when he was rolled over towards my co-worker but as soon as he was rolled towards me he proceded to pee. It was bad enough that he peed all down my leg but I had crocs on (the ones with the holes
). So not only did my pants get soked in the urine, my sock got soked with it as well. It is not a good feeling to have pee between your toes. As soon as I was done I told my charge nurse that I had to leave so I could go home and disinfect myself.
2. After showering a patient I gave him a towel to dry off with. He dried himself off. In the process he had to dry underneith his testicles. Well when he was done with the towel he decided that he was going to throw the towel at me.
If I had not been paying attention the towel would have hit me right in the face. I would have defintally have had to go home and take muliple showers after that one.
- Nov 7, '11 by EMT-newbieI suppose that it's an entirely different thread or three but why do patients get away with battery with no repercussions on a regular basis?decided that he was going to throw the towel at meSappyRN likes this.
- Nov 10, '11 by aachavezAfter reading about 45 pages of this stuff, I'm amazed at the amount of stories that involve maggots. And the poopy messes, when someone decides to 'fingerpaint' or whatever.. ughh
And then eating it...HOW!??!?!
I got accepted into nursing school yesterday, and I'm not reconsidering even a little bit.
Also, dont believe the dead kitten story... seems just a bit far fetched. - Nov 10, '11 by MomRN0913The guy going through DT's who felt the need to dig the crap out of his butt and paint the wall with it. That was pretty gross.
- Nov 10, '11 by MomRN0913Oh speaking of maggots? The hundreds of maggots that started crawling out of the patients nose and trach almost made me vomit. I didn't see it, but i saw the maggots in the cup. The house Dr said he has never seen that many maggots before.netglow likes this.

We all wore masks from then on.
