Shew !

I know they're bad... but sometimes ya just gotta let it out ! But now I feel really bad because of our sweet amputee patient...

I don't get in the sick humor mode often, but when it hits, it just HITS, y'know? I was wiping tears of laughter as I posted the first one... "Now you just get down from there right away!...." oooh, it's STILL hitting me right on the funnybone ! "The neighbors are looking already...:

I better quit.

I took care of a double amputee several years ago, and I felt so bad for him. He was in a nursing home where I worked, and was totally dependent on our care. He hated every minute of it too. I never saw that poor man smile.:

We once took care of a man on our unit who had was a bilateral amputee. He used to get on his scooter and ride outside to smoke. He ended up signing out AMA. A consulting physician showed up soon after wanting to know how he could sign out AMA when he had no legs.
