Story from Male Nurse Friend of Mine..Funny!

So, I'm working nights on a step down telemetry floor at Good Sam back in the 80's. We have one unit secretary (Ethel) for the whole hospital on nights. I have a really sick admit and I need her to come and build the chart. I also need the physician to call in and give orders. I page him at 11, 11:30, 12--no response. I page Ethel at 12:30. A minute later, the phone rings. I pick it up--"Hello, Ethel?"
"What? This is Dr. xxxxx!!!! Who are you?"
I'm Aaron--taking care of your patient. I need admitting orders for her."
He sounds really ****** off about something and gives me the orders and slams the phone down. Has a history of being a jerk, so I don't think anything of it.
Next day, he's in reaming out my boss at 7 in the morning. I'm still there working. She comes out and asks me what happened when he called. I told her and she started laughing hysterically.
Turns out he thought I said "Hello *******."
