I'm procrastinating calling my divorce lawyer, so here's more songs we've threatened to play on the Gero Pysch unit:
ANY RAMONES... The Ramones are excellent for psych: "Psychotherapy" "Lobotomy" "Gimme Gimme ShocK Treatment" "I Wannabe Sedated"... good stuff.
"Mad World" by Tears for Fears (I prefer their version, but, hey, that's just me).
And our OT actually would play "I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell..." The patients on the younger units actually got a kick out of that one.
Personally, I'd love to go with Harvey Danger's "Paranoia"... love the line, "Took me to the hospital for nerves and then they had to commit me. You told them all I was crazy. Cut off my legs... now I'm an amputee, ******** you!"
But since I actually enjoy my job and would like to keep it, I refrain and stick to the Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
