Matthew Mconnachay--close second --OMG!
Hugh Laurie as Wooster? Laughable. Maybe a little cuddly. But mostly hilarious. Hugh Laurie in anything with Steven Fry? The same. Hugh Laurie in, "Maybe Baby?" Kind of puppy doggish, irritating at times, sweet at others.
But Hugh Laurie as House--Mama, get the children off the streets.
Do you get House over there? And if so, do you
get House over there? I can't imagine that you've seen Mr. Three-days'-beard-and-smoldering-blue-eyes and not had at least a twinge. It might help if you pretend that Bertie Wooster is his slightly addlepated younger cousin.
On a side note, he does a bang-up American accent. In three seasons, I've only caught one word that trips him up. (Figger vs. the American fig-yure).
I must stop now. My keyboard is beginning to melt.
