Paging

  1. On a particularly busy night on our Med-Surg
unit, a patient, Mrs. Studley kept coming out to the nurse's station. Each time she came to the desk, she would ask, "Did you need me for something?" When we responded, "No" or asked her if she was having trouble sleeping, she became increasingly upset and angry with the staff.
After the fourth trip to the desk and the same answers, she finally yelled "Then why do you keep paging me?" It turned out that she was hearing the pages for Mrs. Dudley, our House Supervisor.
