Page from the bed office

by Plucker

We recently got a page on the beeper from the bed office about a new pt coming to the floor from the ER. It read 'Incarcerated hernia repair'. We got everything ready in the room, anticipating since the hernia was incarcerated, the docs were more than likely taking them to the OR pretty soon.

Boy were we wrong...

Up comes the pt on the stretcher with transport....and behind them was a police officer. The hernia wasn't incarcerated, the patient was!
