Over 40 dress code

by jemb

Received this in an email and thought I'd share

For those of us over 40, WAY over 40, or hovering near 40, please consider the following gudelines.

Despite what you have seen on the streets, the following combinations should be avoided:

1. a nose ring and bifocals
2. spiked hair and bald spots
3. a pierced tongue and dentures
4. miniskirts and support hose
5. ankle bracelets and corn pads
6. speedos and cellulite
7. a belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar
8. unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor
9. midriff shirts and a midriff bulge
10. bikinis and liver spots
11. short shorts and varicose veins
12. inline skates and a walker
13. thongs and depends

lol....awesome....and of course I can appreciate it, being both chunky & over forty. crop tops & low rise jeans don't look good with a stretch mark belly either. And this applies to those under forty also.
I thought of another thing that made me chuckle- the light beer commercial, where you see people dancing in low rise jeans & the one with the beer belly.

Another rule: If you wore it the FIRST time it was in fashion, you're too damn old to wear it now!!

and low-rise elasticized pants are not flattering either...

Piggy Bank And remember . . . . . .
"Say no to crack!!" Butt crack, that is!

I would love to take credit for the above quote, but I must give credit where it is due.

About fifteen years ago my mom was driving me, my younger brother and oldest nephew home. We were 12, 8, and 9 respectively. We drove past a man (definately well over forty) working on his car, bent over the engine, with the world's worst case of plumber's crack. John Allan goes "Grandma, hey Grandma, GRANDMA!" "What!?", she replies. "Say no to crack!!" I lost it! He was nine years old saying that to his grandmother. She tried to reprimand him, but she was laughing too hard. I'm still laughing hysterically fifteen years later as I am typing. He's in the Army right now and boy do I miss him.
