I didn't read the other responses but I just had to post.
My dd who is 17 is slightly overweight carries it all in her middle just like her mama.
In the past month she has been asked 3 times whether she was pregnant.
At first she laughed it off, and we used humor to try to diffuse it. This last time though, she was pretty upset. It makes me angry when people don't use their brains before they open their mouths. By the way, these were all adults who said this.

Some people should receieve etiquette lessons before they are let out.
Anyway, I feel your pain.
