gwenith posted a website with the banana song that I loved singing to the very end. While on that site, I sang another song that I always loved singing as a child, teenager, adult....even now. :D ... Read More

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
    Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
    Don't worry, be happy......

Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
    Don't worry, be happy
The land lord say your rent is late
    He may have to litigate
    Don't worry, be happy
Lood at me I am happy
    Don't worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
    When you worry call me
    I make you happy
    Don't worry, be happy
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got not girl to make you smile
    But don't worry be happy
    Cause when you worry
    Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
So don't worry, be happy (now).....

There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
    Like good little children
    Don't worry, be happy
    Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
    But when you worry
    You make it double
    Don't worry, be happy......
Don't worry don't do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon past
    Whatever it is
    Don't worry, be happy

If you're happy and you know it
    Clap your hands

If you're happy and you know it
    Clap your hands

If you're happy and you know it
Then your face will truly show it
If you're happy and you know it
    Clap your hands.

If you're happy and you know it
    Stomp your feet.

If you're happy and you know it
    Stomp your feet.

If you're happy and you know it
Then your face will truly show it
If you're happy and you know it
    Stomp your feet.

(I believe I heard clapping hands and stomping feet in cyberspace! Good job, Allnurses!) :kiss

A song I first learned in Girlscouts:

    Make new friends
    But keep the old
One is silver and the other gold
Make new friends......make new friends.......make new friends.

I'm with you all the way, Renee. If those who have a cloud over their heads all the time, they'll never achieve what it's like to be happy and light-hearted. Personally, I'd much rather laugh and sing and read funny stuff. :chuckle It gets the day started on the right path.:kiss

Anyone watched 'Wizard of Oz' lately?????? I have, a hundred, thousand times..........my daughters just love it.........so i would have to say, this is a favourite at the moment........

    Somewhere Over the Rainbow

When all the world is a hopeless jumble
And the raindrops tumble all around
    Heaven opens a magic lane
When all the clouds darken up the skyway
There's a rainbow highway to be found
    Leading from your windowpane
To a place behind the sun
Just a step beyond the rain
Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high, There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where troubles melt like lemon drops.
    Away above the chimney tops
    That's where you'll find me.
    Somewhere over the rainbow,
    bluebirds fly,
    Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then, oh why can't I?
    If happy little bluebirds fly
    Beyond the rainbow,
Why oh why can't I? Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Hi Diana in Sweden. I just bookmarked the website you posted. It sure looks interesting.

I know an old lady who swallowed a fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die
I know an old lady who swallowed a spider that wriggled and tiggled and jiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die
I know an old lady who swallowed a bird, Oh how absurd, she swallowed a bird! She swallowed a bird to catch the spider that wriggled and tiggled and juggled inside her. She she swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die
I know an old lady who swallowed a cat. Think of that, she swallowed a cat! She swallowed a cat to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider, that wriggled and tiggled and jiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know
why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die
I know an old lady who swallowed a dog, oh what a hog, she swallowed a dog! She swallowed a dog to catch the cat, she swallowed the cat to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider, that wriggled and tiggled and jiggled inside her. She swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die.
I know an old lady who swallowed a goat, she opened her throat and swallowed a goat! she swallowed the goat to catch the dog, she swallowed the dog to catch the cat, she swallowed the cat to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider, that wriggled and tiggled and jiggled inside her, she swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die.
I know an old lady who swallowed cow, I don't know how she swallowed a cow. She swallowed the cow to catch the goat, she swallowed the goat to catch the dog, she swallowed the dog to catch the cat, she swallowed the cat to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider that wriggled and tiggled and jiggled inside her, she swallowed the spider to catch the fly, but I don't know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she'll die.
I know an old lady who swallowed a horse..........She's dead of course.

I was a Girl Scout. I always loved the songs, especially the hiking ones, "Swing along, the open road....." And all the harmony! Still makes me feel happy!

    LOVED IT! Made me smile!
What about, "The wheels on the bus go round and round!"

During my nurse training, I went to a school and sang all those songs I remember as a child, and loved it!
