    Here are some ideas that have worked for me:

    Join some webrings that pertain to your site. It'll link it to several others.
    Go to http://www.webring.com.

    Add your site to search engines. Aol.com, Yahoo.com, Google.com, NBCi.com,ect...

    Visit sites similar to your's and see if they have any awards, then apply for them.

    Does Homestead have Clubs or Groups? Add your site to the proper catagory.

    This should increase your traffic. Then the more hits you get, the more search engines you'll show up on and closer to the top.
