deliver nurse by a six year old

My husband and son picked me up from work the other day, a friend of ours works at the same hospital and was talking to me when they drove up. My six year asked me if we worked together. I told him no that Ms. Denise worked in the clinic and I worked in Delivery. My son told me "Mommy, you couldn't deliver anything last night, you didn't have the car." Strange how we take for granted what words mean.

Default too cute
I have a seven year old and that's exactly something she would say...
One time she asked what we were going to do for the day... I told her "oh we're just going to kick it" she asked "kick what?"

Thats like the Paramedic joke:

One dark rainy night a lady was home alone with her 8 yr old daughter when she went into labor. The mommy instructed the daughter to dial 911. The firefighter/paramedic arrived and the power had gone off. So the firefighter/paramedic asked the little girl if she would help him by holding the flash light. After the delivery and the firefighter/paramedic had popped the newborn on the rear to breathe he asked the little girl about what she had just seen. She said "spank him again for crawling in there".

awwwww so cute. I asked my 9 year old a few years back if he wanted to see the musical "Cats"....he pondered for a moment and replied "nawww...I'm allergic to cats." and wandered away.

Explained to the 5 kids (all under age 9) that I was going back to college. 7-year-old acts weird for about 3 days before finally blurting out, "Well when you go back to college, will you at least come back and VISIT us???!!"

Reminds me of my pediatric instructor when she informed us
"Don't tell the pediatric patient that you're taking his vital signs or temperature."

When I first started in L&D, my 6-year-old asked, "Mom, how do you know where to deliver all those little babies to, when it's so dark outside?"

Kids are SO funny. I delivered my first baby a couple weeks ago and was on cloud 9, very excited. The next morning my 4 year old asked, like always, what I did at work last night. I said, "Mommy got to deliver a baby. "
Her response, "To where?"
LOL
