Clothing issues/malfunctions.

by 09S=BSN

Some of you may have seen the bra thread about the girl who doesn't like them (power to you darlin'!). Well, decided we needed an outright humor thread for CLOTHING related funny scenes.

I (sadly?) have one.

I am a Nurse Tech (CNA), and one of the things I do is empty foley caths. No big deal. Normally I drop to one knee, put the urinal at the end, open, etc.

One day, I squatted instead. See, this floor had been really, REALLY dirty, and I was unsure if the janitors had gotten up there and had a chance to mop it up properly. Well, I squat, and immediately *RIP*. But not in the back. No, I am a guy, the pressure was greatest in the front, and it spilled the boys out.

Thankfully the patient was out of it, so I finished up my work, and emptied everything being real sure to keep my exposed self as hidden as possible, just in case. I came REAL close to dragging that floor, but did not thankfully. Afterwards I shoved myself back inside my pants, stood up, and made sure I did not do ANY bending at all. As long as I stayed straight up, the tear did not show, and nothing was exposed. I finished off the last half hour or so of my shift, and went home.

So, anything like this for y'all? Any funny stories relating to clothing or object things, and not a verbal joke?

Lace panties and white pants not the greatest combo!!!!! Did I do it You betcha..when I was younger Luckily, I never got in trouble for any bad nursing care...usually it was too much makeup......earring too big and glitzy......breasts too large (like I can help that...they are real) i work at a Catholic hospital and they have eases their ways a bit. I used to be the talk of the hospital b/c I wore lipstick and bright eyeshadow. that was some 25 years ago though. 10 years ago my manager did think I should wear a traditional maternity top...instead of tucking my shirt into my scrubs... Did I get one NO....hey Demi Moore had already posed pregnant and naked by then...Hey I was clothed.

I feel you on the tear in the front of the pants! I was pulling a patient up in bed and had my stance just a little too wide, and up went the patient and rip went the pants. Well went to the bathroom on my lunch break and used some sutures to repair the whole in my pants....would have worked if I really knew how to sew...didn't last...the first bend...rip again.

And this might be a weird question, but seriously were you going commando? How did your boys fall out?

When we used to have to wear white, it was not uncommon that there would be occasion to pull one of our co-workers aside and whisper, "you've had an accident!"
We never were mean about it. It happened to most of us to varying degrees at least once. We knew it wasn't because someone was "nasty", it just happens sometimes.
It is cruel to make women wear white pants in a job where you may not get to the bathroom in a timely manner! Not to mention all the bending, squatting and running about.
Nothing like finishing your shift covered with a hospital gown or poorly fitting borrowed pants!
Smart gals kept extra pants in their lockers... which I did learn to do!

A coworker decided blue underwear were a good choice to wear under her white pants... we sang "Blue Moon" and "Blue moon of Kentucky keep on shinin'" to her all shift.
She was a good sport!

When I was (very) pregnant with my last one I was bending down to pick up a garbage bag and I gave the patient's visitor a "show" he wasn't expecting. Darn scrub tops aren't made for big bellies!

I've also had multiple problems with a specific bra that I have. The strap keeps coming loose from the back, and I need someone to hook it back up. Good thing I like my co-workers!

Dang you should have duct taped the tear. Your boys would always stay in place then

No joking, I have two pair of pants that I tried to hem with fusible web and ironing, that didn't hold, but the tape did. Three years later they are still taped and wearable.
