16 reasons why alcohol should be served at work

by Franemtnurse Platinum Member

1. It's an incentive to show up.
2. It leads to more honest communications.
3. It reduces complaints about low pay.
4. Employees tell management what they think, not what they want to hear.
5. It encourages car pooling.
6. Increase job satisfaction because if you have a bad job, you don't care.
7. It eliminates vacations because people would rather come to work.
8. It makes fellow employees look better.
9. It makes the cafeteria food taste better.
10. Bosses are more likely to hand out raises when they are wasted.
11. Salary negotiations are a lot more profitable.
12. Employees work later since there's no longer a need to relax at the bar.
13. It makes everyone more open with their ideas.
14. Eliminates the need for employees to get drunk on their lunch break.
15. Employees no longer need coffee to sober up.
16. Sitting "Bare naked" on the copy machine will no longer be seen as gross."
Take a beer and send the truck to all of your friends!!!!!!

Hmm, we have a "Happy Hour" for our elderly residents (on Fridays), never thought of that for the employees.

Seriously, though, before I was hired, our facility had a Harvest Ball every year and staff would get just as wasted as the residents. :hatparty:

LOL, we just had a medical marajuana vote this election, and we in our state do have it legalized, but it was all about dispenceries. Anyway...people asked me what I thought of it all together and I said about the same things listed above! LOL!

Things you may see or do if patients smoked medical pot in their rooms (and you inhale...I advise deeply..LOL!).

*Nurses quoted as saying "oh dude you are like so going to die..got anything in your fridge?"
*little old ladies doing tye dyes instead of quilts or knitting stocking caps
*tripping out on how to do the hoyer! or getting in the hoyer and using it as a swing WEEEEEEE!
*finding new and intresting uses for a Texas Cath!
*patient gets a laughing fit right after an enema, and you didn't duck..but you don't care!
*smiling happy staff and patients getting along in perfect harmony over a bag of dorrito's!
*Nap times for ALL at noon and 1400..and so on!
*falling injuries down because you are so limp and carefree!
*Tie dye scrubs!!!
*Pharmacy will no longer get so much flack, and get to use that old hooka they have in the back room for show!
*Meal service by Mc Donalds!
*A new department of 'trip managment'
*activites will change from ceramics to balloon animals!
*Nursing report will consist of "oh dude it just bit today...have a nice shift!"
*Perseverant story telling by residents will be more enertaining!
*you won't doubt a hallutionation again, but be able to add on to the story!
*hugs and thank yous will increase by 90%
and
*no one will accuse you of being up all night drinking when you show up with bloodshot eyes and a lazy attitude anymore!!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!

LOL Fran..acually I have to pull teeth to get folks to laugh at my job..it just worked this time out! I am a RN, trained by paramedics during nursing school, think like a paramedic trapped in the RN title! SO I have a very odd sence of humor to most nurses I meet! But I love my humor..it keep me going! And in this case it kept them going too...oh my I had to wonder how many pot heads I had working with me after this! LOL!

Hubby is a paramedic..so I hear humor all the time...I must say their jokes are far superior to nurses! LOL!!!!!

Being EMT I thought you may appreciate that!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
