What's your pick for the perfect nurses watch?

The brand of watch is called Athletic Works. It's plastic and it comes in all colors...mine is a see through pink.

You can program it for military time this watch does it all! I love it! My sister loved it so much, she went and got one also

I had a digital watch with seconds and had to get a new one for our program, it was required to be a face watch with a very visible second hand.

If we didn't have an appropriate watch we weren't let onto the clinical site.

Nurses in the UK are not allowed to wear wrist watches, due to 'ye olde infection control'. So we all have fob watches, and they work just fine, there are so many differnt designs about, fun and more serious. I've had the same one for 13 years, and only this morning put it through the washing machine!! Good job its my birthday next week. Best of luck buying the right one.

Picked up a watch at Walmart for $29. It has a second hand, military time, date, and is indiglo. It's a Timex Expedition. I looked everywhere and didn't want to spend $400- on a swiss army.

I found a super cute digital watch on clearance at Target for $3 but I agree with another poster---washing your hands with a watch on (even if it's waterproof) bugs the heck out of me because the watch gets wet and I can't properly dry off...I've been looking for a cute, cheap lapel watch to try it out and found this one on allheart:

That's cute. It kind of reminds me of the Swatch watches from the 80's. I loved those, had a bunch.

I have the glow in dark one very nice, gets pts attention too....but does anyone else find the watch starts to smell even with washing and allowing it to dry off of your wrist....its kinda gross--maybe I should switch from leather to plastic....
I have the pin type too that i got as a present but i am always afraid i will lose it and not be aware, maybe I could afix it to a lanyard, the metal ball type.....

For me i think the perfect nursing watch should for sure have a 24 hour clock, but i think a vibrating alarm clock would be useful as well. Cause with just being a student, i found the hardest thing to sometimes remember was when to give meds and times to complete tasks and such. So a vibrating watch that allows you to set more than 1 alarm would be ideal..has anyone seen anything of the sort?
