voice recorders

I know there has been other threads about voice recorders, but I have a question. Last semester I had a recorder and it recorded fine, but I could not copy it to a CD to listen to in the car. Any help would be appreciated. I know people say the LiveScribe, but I do not have that much $$$$$$

Were you able to save it onto your computer? I'm not sure if your is different but with my recorder, I would save it onto my computer and then use my Itunes or windows media player to burn to a cd

I have an Olympus digital recorder. It has software that takes the lecture off the recorder and puts it on the computer. From there you can use whatever software you use to burn a CD. It's a nice recorder; I think I paid maybe 60 or so for it (I can't remember, it was about 4 years ago). The only bummer is the software doesn't work on my Mac laptop.

why not just listen to your recorder? I just listen to my recorder in the car, or connect an earbud for use in other places like the dentist or any waiting I do. I never felt the need to waste time on downloading and transferring data I already have available!

This is actually what I do, too. And it's less wasteful than burning a CD with just one lecture.
