Male Nursing Student Needs Some Advice

Dear Colleagues,

I am a nursing student looking for some advice regarding a small equipment pack that you wear around your waist or upper leg. I find I need tape, scissors, penlight, pens, my wallet, etc. I've gone through several small "man bags" that I found at Wal-mart that snap on like a belt but none so far have been very effective. Does anyone know where I can buy a light and simple gear pack that straps to the LEG or that I can wear around my waist? It would be nice to have my cell phone, a small wallet, a few essential tools, and other "bling" with me at all times without it falling out all over the floor everytime I bend over.

Any suggestions? I can't find one anywhere.

John in New Mexico

Just saw this. Late, I know.

Anyway, if you're still wanting something that will strap to your thigh, you need to be looking for a tactical medic's leg bag. Usually they hang from the belt and strap around the upper or mid-thigh.

Something like this, f'r'instance: http://www.hsgear.biz/ProductInfo~pr...-CUFTHIGH.html

Or this: http://www.uscav.com/milmall/Product...bID=1&CatID=20

Try the Army-Navy places in ABQ, or maybe wherever the cops are buying some of their gear.

I could see it on my flight job, but I don't think I'd like it in the hospital, personally.

Good luck with school!

i keep everything i need in my cargo pockets on scrub pants (tafford or Landau). everyone is different, but in the hospital I have to have my tools while still able to move, jump on a crazy pt, and climb over equipment to perform compressions. I could understand these thigh rigs in the fiel, but not in the hospital.
