Should I start applying for another job?

  1. I recently posted about how I am a new grad in California and am having a really tough time finding work. My question is regarding whether or not I should start applying for non-nursing positions in the mean time. I have another Bachelor's degree in Communication, which may help. I'm not sure if trying to take another type of position (Unit coordinator, etc) would HELP me get into a facility, or HURT me by taking away from possible nursing opportunities.

I want to be a nurse but I need $$$ (as I'm sure you all can understand). Also, I hate not having a job! Thanks!

Hey don't put your marbles in the nursing basket. Think, if something nursing pops up then you will consider that, but, go for your other degree that has more opportunity and stability!!!! You just may thank your lucky stars that you have options.

    GO FOR IT.

Agree with the other posts. You have to take care of yourself.
