by tmitch8489 Jul 5, '12Hi everyone,
I graduated with my Associate's back in December and passed the NCLEX in may. I am a 22 y/o male with no prior medical experience but have worked with a wide range of different age groups throughout my previous jobs. I remember looking back at school when everyone would rant and rave about how employers would love young male nurses as they were at one time few and far between. However I have applied for what I feel like is about a billion jobs(both hospitals and long term care) but probably closer to 350 and I don't seem to get any call backs.......Does anyone have any advice as to what I can do to possibly sell myself to employers? I am in the admission process to the RN-BSN at Towson University and obviously have CPR and am signed up to do ACLS later this month.
Thanks for any insight anyone may have.

Beef up your resume - make sure to sell yourself and seperate yourself from other candidates
Send a handwritten thank you note to anyone you speak or interview with - it may not get you the job but it will remind them of your intention and may set you apart
Good luck
