I graduated this past december, passed my nclex and like many other new grads am looking for a job. I have an interview next week for a new graduate nurse externship. The company did not provide much information about what the job is or the duties. My understanding of what an externship is that it's usually for nursing students prior to entering their senior year, and from what I have been reading does not count as RN experience. So, I know I may be a little premature on this, as I haven't been on the interview yet and could probably ask them what the job entails, would it be worth it for me to take a position like this if it were offered?
