July Grad. NCLEX passed in late August in MD.

    1. 7 different hospitals, 10 positions
    2. Only 1 new grad position (new grad positions were sparse because of May grads)
    3. 6 rejections (only knew because position was listed as closed after a while), 2 interviews coming up, 2 listed as "under review/forwarded to hiring manager" by application system
    4. First interview in a few days!

I definitely plan on applying to more jobs, but for now I feel like I've applied to all the jobs I'm qualified for in the immediate area (Baltimore). I will start applying to farther away places after these 2 interviews if I don't get some good news

May grad. Passed NCLEX May 30. License granted June 4. Started job October 2.

    1. How many places have you applied so far?
    2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings?
    3. How many have you heard from one way or the other?
    4. Any job offers yet?

    1. 39+
    2. I really don't even know. I apply to jobs that require the basics.
    3. 16 (6 of those from the same VA facility)
    4. I finally have recently been getting actual call backs and several interviews. I don't know if it's because I reworked my resume, got my ACLS cert, or a combination. I was offered a home health position, but I told her I had other interviews. She was not able to wait as the family needed someone ASAP. I was offered a position at a small hospital 45 minutes north of me and I accepted. I've been getting calls from 2 of the larger hospitals in my area, and I'm a little bummed because I already accepted this position. However, I think it will be a good experience.

I got the job for the nurse residency I applied to! I'm pouncing on it, as it starts super soon and I have to get my license switched over to another state. They also required a reply by Monday so I just decided to accept it and canceled my second interview. Based on how hard it seems to find a job in this economy, I didn't really want to chance losing a solid offer.

Best of luck to everyone out there!

I've applied to over 30 jobs pre-licensure and I've had 5 automatic rejections for not being licensed. My work interviewed me and wants to do a nurse extern to nurse intern to orienting nurse progression with me but they need confirmation they can do that.
