What was your first teaching job?

I'm just curious of how some of you got started.

What kind of degree did you have? MSN or BSN?

Community College or University?

Adjunct or full time?

Hello BabyLady,
To answer questions:
1. First Degree is in Biological Sciences, Second Degree is an Associates of Science in Nursing, Third Degree is Bachelor of Science in Nursing, completed some course work only in the Master's Program.

2. Community College

3. Adjunct Part Time (Contract renews every semester as long as there are enough students to fill clinical).

I began as an adjunct clinical instructor in 1995 for an ADN program. I had a BSN at the time. I am now full-time faculty, assistant professor, and hold an MSN degree. I'm still teaching for the same school that first hired me as an adjunct. The college I teach at is a 4 year private college; our nursing program is a 2 year associate degree.
