Question for nurse educators

Hi I am currently going to school online for my BSN,I have an interest in teaching eventually.I am currently taking a communication class and I am researching the career of nursing instructors.This week I am supposed to find out about the technology used in this career,what type of computer programs used,are blogs,podcasts and vodcasts used in this career and are you encouraged to use social networking sites such as this? any info would be very helpful.thank you!
