Writing a paper on "nurse educator"

I'm not exactly sure what kind of info you are searching for. I did

find sites that lay out the course plans, requirements etc.

Also you could check on job sites in your area for job description

requirements and also do a salary agent to see what nurse educators in your area get for salary. Also check on what other aspects of healthcare they can use their skills in.

Wanted to add: Check out your school library and check EBSCO Academic Elite. Many of the articles available through EBSCO are full text and FREE! Good Luck!

Have you tried a local nursing library? There are all kinds of books and articles there available for free. Also, the librarians may be able to direct you to some online resources that would be helpful.

Really, I am not just being "snippy" here .... I'm actually trying to help. Too many students rely on websites (some of questionable value) when a trip to the library would take half the time -- and provide tons of good material for free.

With nursing though, it needs to be a library that has nursing journals and books -- like at a college with a nursing department or at a hospital.

You've got this far; have you truly read every posting over the last few months. There was a wealth of information about nurse educators there.

Define what you are going to write about; 'nurse educator' is too broad. Can you take one educator and 'follow' him/her for a day? and write that up.

Can you look at the training / experience of an educator? What about a nurse educator such as 'diabetic educator' or 'lactation consultant'. Ask for an interview with one - write out yr questions in advance and ask to tape the interview. You might even get someone willing to do this on line.

Any nurse is an educator. What does your prof. want/expect?

I guess I just need info about what's involved in becoming a nurse educator, maybe some history about nurse educators, salaries, ets.
