Try this link- U of P seems to do a lot of online ed hiring. - Feb 25, '07 by proRNHello, I am interested in teaching online as well. I have tried UOP, but they really want you to have a PhD. I do teach some online courses for the community college I am at, mainly because many of the long-time faculty do not want to do it. This may be a better opportunity because online universities are hard to get into without experience and a PhD. If you have not had formal training in developing and facilitating online courses, I highly recommend the online certificate program through Indian State University. It is a great addition to your resume as well. http://nursing.iupui.edu/LifelongLea...ursWebCert.htmllg likes this.
- Jan 9, '08 by sunbumjulI have my BSN and am still technically a new grade with a few months of ICU experience. I am interested in teaching online only nursing classes such as pharmacology. Is this possible with my degree and experience? If so, who can I contact? Where can I go to find more information about standard requirements?

Go back now and before you know it, you will be there!I have my BSN and am still technically a new grade with a few months of ICU experience. - Apr 1, '09 by jesskerrYou should check out Saint Leo University. I graduated from Saint Leo and they have a great online nursing program. http://www.saintleo.com
- Apr 15, '09 by Cricket02Hi, I tried the link that was in your post and couldn't get it to come up. I received my MSN/Ed from University of Phoenix in 2007 and have been looking for an online position ever since, plus paying off a $60,000 student loan. For the same amount of time, I could have been an O.D. physician.
- Apr 15, '09 by XIGRISQuote from jwl300I have the same dilemma as you have. I want to teach online BSN courses. I would say I have expertise in Pharmacology and Physiology as well as Critical Care however, I am having hard time finding one. I have looked into the U of P but now nursing faculty open. I also looked at Chamberlain Nursing.I would like some tips on how to find opportunities to teach nursing online. I guess I am asking help/preceptors from on line professors/teachers to show me the way. I have extensive training a total of 20 years. I have Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia ( MSNA ) and currently finishing my Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. I want to teach on line courses for nursing part-time.
Thank you for any inputs. - Sep 17, '10 by ccnamethI also completed my MSN with UOP to teach, live in northwest florida and am having a heck of a time trying to get into an online teaching position.
- Sep 17, '10 by iteachobHave you ever taught for Kaplan (NCLEX review course)? If you have live experience teaching for them, you may be able to teach "live-online". I've taught for them (in class format) for about 8 years, and have been approached about teaching "live-online"......I haven't done it yet, though.
