Go to the American Asso. of College of Nursing and order "The Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice". Also, try the ANA "Scope and Standards for Nursing Professional Development". Try http://www.ncsbn for publications regarding this topic and your Board of Nursing for your state.
