My husband and I are due for our first baby mid- August....I was wondering if any fellow educators know how a maternity leave would work....I would have a "few" weeks before my Sept. 1st contract started again to spend with the baby, but am I still entitled to my 6 weeks- even though some of the leave will probably start at the end of August??! I do have alot of responsibilities for teaching, but the baby comes first in my mind!!
